Imagine an emergency situation where you need to use your Debit Card—but you don’t have enough money in your Checking Account to cover the charges. Or what if your Debit Card was declined in front of your friends while you were at a restaurant? Mission Fed can help save you from these stressful and embarrassing situations with Mission Debit Card Privilege.

This service was created to help you in an emergency or preventing embarrassment when there is not enough money in your Checking Account to cover a Debit Card PIN or signature-based purchase transaction.

With this service, Mission Fed may authorize your PIN and signature-based Debit Card purchase transactions, even if there is not enough money in your checking account to cover them. Plus, there is no fee to enroll, and no fee will be charged unless you use the service and the transaction results in a negative balance that is greater than $10. (Please check our fee schedule.)

This service is in addition to Mission Courtesy Pay, which you may already have to pay checks and ACH transactions.*

Mission Courtesy Pay

Mission Courtesy Pay is extended to members for their good account management. When there are not enough funds available, this service may pay checks and Automated Clearing House (ACH) items that are coming out of the account as payments. If this service is used, a fee will be charged for each transaction paid. (Please check our fee schedule.)

Members whose accounts qualify for Mission Courtesy Pay will be notified by mail, or you can call us or ask at any branch.

*Please note: For members who participate in Mission Debit Card Privilege and Mission Courtesy Pay, the approved qualified amount is a combined amount for both services. If you have other overdraft protection plans in place, those plans will be utilized prior to Mission Debit Card Privilege and Mission Courtesy Pay.
