Imagine an emergency situation where you need to use your Debit Card—but you don’t have enough money in your Checking Account to cover the charges. Or what if your Debit Card was declined in front of your friends while you were at a restaurant? Mission Fed can help save you from these stressful and embarrassing situations with Mission Debit Card Privilege.

With this new service, Mission Fed may authorize your PIN and signature-based Debit Card purchase transactions, even if there is not enough money in your checking account to cover them. Plus, there is no fee to enroll, and no fee will be charged unless you use the service and the transaction results in a negative balance that is greater than $10. (Please check our fee schedule.)

This is a new service that is specifically for PIN and signature-based Debit Card transactions, just like its name says. This service is similar to Mission Courtesy Pay, which you may already have to pay checks and ACH transactions when there is not enough money in your checking account.*

If your account qualifies for this service, you will be invited to enroll through MissionLink Online Banking. You will see a Mission Debit Card Privilege information screen when you first log in, or you can click on the Member Service tab and select Mission Debit Card Privilege in the Account Service category. Members whose accounts qualify for this service will also receive a letter in the mail within the next few weeks.

*Please note: For members who qualify for and choose to participate in Mission Debit Card Privilege and already have Mission Courtesy Pay for checks and ACH items, the approved qualified amount is a combined amount for both services. If you have other overdraft protection plans in place, those plans will be utilized prior to Mission Debit Card Privilege.
